1. Who is responsible for repairing a broken sidewalk?

The property owner adjoining the public sidewalk is responsible for its upkeep and repair. The City may split the cost for repair with the property owners during certain seasons.

2. The alley behind my house gets a lot of use. Will they City pave my alley?

The City will maintain existing public alleys whether paved or gravel. The cost to upgrade to pavement must be borne by the adjoining landowners. All new alleys must be paved and have curb and gutter.
